AM Away Day

Venue: Waverley Abbey House, Waverley Lane, Farnham, Surrey GU9 8EP

The intention for the day is Light, Joy, Play, Reflection and Connection.

Please let Carolyn (carolynbaynes@icloud.com) know if you intend to come, and whether you are walking from Farnham Meeting house or going to meet us there.

For those wanting to be Pilgrims we will be setting off from Farnham Meeting house to walk there at 10:00. Those who want to meet us there at 11:00 are welcome to drive there directly and there is plenty of parking.

Rough timetable:
11am play, drink coffee in the lovely café, explore the beautiful grounds and the Abbey ruins;
12:00-13:00 we have booked the Prayer Room for worship together;
13:00-14:00 picnic, café, play;
14:00-15:00 small group discussions on subjects of choice.

Being Quaker Course (1 of 2)

Venue: Woking Meeting House

For those considering membership, but it is equally valuable if you are simply curious and would like to deepen their understanding of Quaker faith and practice. The course, across two Saturdays, is aimed primarily at those new, or fairly new, to Quakerism. Numbers will be limited to ensure everyone has a chance to contribute, but if space allows, we also welcome those who have attended for a while and would like to learn more.

Together, we will explore:
  Quaker past and future;
  Quaker worship;
  Quaker process;
  Quaker living.
